Well Ladies/Gentlemen, i've talked and talked about my car for a month or two since I've gotten it, (June 5th to be exact) and now I can finally post up nice pictures and some specifications of my baby!
I originally wanted to get myself a Sonic Blue GT, stock with white stripes (painted.) I looked all around LA and didn't find ONE Sonic Blue, so I decided to look around more, and found the opposite, a White GT with blue stripes. I was dead set on the car, its body kit, and its killer looks. I found out the next day, however, that the car was sold. :bang:
Thats where my journey began guys. I called 17 Ford dealers across the Pacific and found nothing; my dealer rep from Galpin had found ONE Sonic Blue GT, up in Northern California. My Rep wanted to perform a dealer trade, however the Northern Cali dealer never actually got in touch with us, and I figured they DIDNT WANT TO TRADE!
I called the North.Cali dealer, and found out my car was in a show. Well, it had 15 bids, but none with any down payments...so the car was shipped back to the dealer for me. I headed up to Merced the NEXT day and purchased the vehicle, got all my mods done (added LoJack, ordered Sequential Lights, got trunk dynamatted), and got my baby back home.
The factory shipped the Coupe with the following:
2005 Mustang GT Coupe
Sonic Blue Metallic Clearcoat
5R55S 5-Speed Automatic Transmission
Interior Sport Appearance Package
Shaker 500 System
17" Bullits
Active Anti-Theft System
The car was then modded by the dealer themselves to include the following!:
Street Scene Full Body Kit
Street Scene Window Louvers
Foose 20" 255 Front/275 Rear Wheels
Eibach Pro Springs
Custom Painted/Sanded/Polished Ghost Stripes
Alpine Type S 10" Subwoofer / Amplifier with Fiberglass case (Built into trunk)
Sequential-Chase Taillights
California Customs Badging
All these modifications put together make this vehicle one-of-a-kind. It truly looks and feels like an italian exotic car. I get dozens of people stop traffic and give me thumbs up, as well as many who inquire about every single aspect of the car. Enjoy the pics!

i think it looks great, the 20" rims are bigger than id put on my own car though. ghost stripes are nice..due to the fact they are subtle and it doesnt feel like the paint job is wrapped in decals/stripping. i like the bodykit.. i never had one, do you worry about scraping pavement with it?

Worry? I scraped almost all the steep driveways, exits of parking lots, car washes, etc..I've now learned the correct teqnique to minimizing/getting rid of scratching the bottom. Besides, I wouldn't dare take off the kit or raise the car...Air suspension?? Thats another thread .

Car looks nice. But if I am going to have stripes painted on, I would make it something worth seeing, not barelly noticeable. Especially since most places are charging over $1000 for stripes. That much money in a cosmetic mod should be noticeable, not transparent.
20" wheels on an '05 just look too big for the car, IMO. But the wheels are nice. And it seems the body kit and lowered will scrape all the time. I had my 05 scrape going over a speed bump the other day after the front tires rolled over it. A body kit would have been shattered, this speed bump was more of a curb. And I think a duck tail would look better with the kit than the wing.
Looks good though, nice polish job, and it's different.

Chris, I noticed that you state your mods make your car one-of-a-kind. Now I don't mean to burst your bubble but...I have pics from another site of a car identical to yours, incl. rims. The pics are over a month old. That is where I got my ideas from. My car, other than rims, should have looked exactly like yours a week ago but the darn shop is taking to long so I decided to stick with the stripes I have for now. I do plan on getting ghost stripes done in the winter but honestly, I don't think you car is one-of-a-kind. You will start seeing more and more cars with what we are doing, unfortunately.

are you sure you didn't buy that car from Razzarri FORD. It is 100% identical including the stereo.

That is the site that made me decide on my mods. I knew I had seen your car before.

Yep...
<sniff> <sniff>
I smell....
Whether you bought the car as-is, did your mods based on seeing this car, or did your mods totally based on your own ideas and happened to stumble upon the exact same combo (seems unlikely, but not impossible), it's a great-looking car, no doubt.
My 2 biggest grievances with it are: (1) I don't like the louvres - the MRTs just look so much better, now that they're out. Looking forward to seeing yours, adrenalin; and (2) 20" wheels too big.
Question for original poster and everyone else - what's the deal with "ghost stripes" - do they just take the base color and add pearl or something? I think it looks kinda cool. Wonder how it would look on a redfire.
Edit: 300th Post! Bullit member! Now I guess I gotta get one 'dem fancy Bullit special 'dition 'stangs to match, eh?

If you ask Chris, since he had these added to his car, he will tell you that he doesn't know what the paint is which also makes me "smell" something as well.
However, everyone is right, you do have a great ride whether you bought it like that from Razzari Ford in California (ironic, that is where you are from as well) or if you actually had all of the work done.
Am I jealous, darn right I am
