Performance white with white stripes
Hi folks,
I would like to introduce myself. My name's Wolfgang and I'm from Germany. As you can imagine, the Mustang owners group in Germany is not very big. It's not because the Mustangs would not be a great and famous car, it's because Ford does not officially sell the Mustangs over here. Therefore, driving a Mustang in Germany requires a big effort regarding individual certification. I live in the Muinch area where lots of Porsches, BMWs, Audis and so on are on the road. Accordingly, whenever a Mustang is on the road the car gets lots of attention due to its low numbers.
Me myself I'm a proud owner of a 2005 V6 Mustang vert in performance white! However, getting any kind of parts for the car is very difficult. Most of the parts have to be directly imported from the US. That means, buying parts cheap in the US and spend approx two times the money for shipping! No fun...
Since the Ford dealers over here have no idea from how the Mustang has to be treated we depend pretty much on German and US internet forums.
However, back to topic. In order to individualize my car, there's a long way to go. While my wife likes an ordinary look of the stang, I like the striking look. Hence, we have to come to an agreement regarding any changes. I like the racing stripes, she does not. As a result, I had the idea the get non-reflective white stripes on the white mustang. Maybe a little boring, but I think this could turn out well. However, before doing so I would appreciate any pics of this particular combination. Does anyone have such photos?
So long,
Wolfgang

I recently got my white 2011. I haven't done this, but I am also considering the white on white. A nice subtle look!

Welcome Wolfgang.......a fellow foreigner here
Lovely Mustang!
We face the same problem as you, although we do have several specialist companies that import Mustangs, although many still prefer to import their own.
If you feel like visiting, there are a couple of UK based websites that may interest you:
The Mustang Owners Club GB www.mocgb.net/forums
And an '05+ specific site www.s197.co.uk
Both, like here, are full of friendly, helpfull owners

Yeah if it's gonna be done white on white then the stripe needs to at least contrast in white color shading. I do like how matte black looks against gloss black. However a matte white just has no appeal to me.

twin turbo,
how is the situation in GB regarding the certification of Mustang mods? The German TUV and the legal situation here are very strict. The exhaust may not be too loud, red turn signals are not allowed and so on... therefore, tuning the stang needs a lot of work arounds...
