Transformers III- The Resurrection
I am going to make another push bumper to correct several issues that (I swear)
can only be discovered during the fab process but I dont have time before the big
event soooo this one is going to powdercoating on Monday.
I spent 10 hours yesterday working on the brackets. The good news is I can reuse the brackets
so its 4 bolts to bolt on the future upgraded version.
#2 will be tucked in about an inch and a half closer to the bumper. It will also be wider by 4 inches and the base will not be as long. That should even out the weight of 3 pipes X 4" more worth of tubing.
Its very hard keeping it from twisting when you are welding it.
Anyways...enough of the "issues"....This one will be on the car for Mustangfest (but powdercoated black):

I got the PB back from powdercoating at lunch time. I had cut off 1.5" to snug it in closer to the bumper.
I was very worried about fittment since the holes were already drilled before I cut it again....
but it looks like it came out ok. It was sprinkling on me most of the time
I was working on it and by the end of it I was soaked.
Im very happy with the powdercoating job:

They took my picture as I drove up to Mustangfest 2009. They made Mats from the pix and
it looked good so I bought it...
