I photoshopped this 05 Gt with black bullits. These are 17", but I was thinking of 18" black bullits.

First time playing with photoshop, but its easy to picture.

Whats everyone's opinion on the black bullits on this car? (but 18" instead of 17")

DON"T ..................

surfn, that photoshop above looks hard. I sold my built corvette to build a mustang that looks similar to that... don't hesitate about getting black 18's

The black rims would look nice on a sliver mustang gt and a mineral grey, i really hope they come out with a dark carcoal grey color for 06 , the rims wiuld look perfect on that color

Ok, does anyone know where MRT found those 18" Black Bullits with the correct offset for the 05 Stang?

MRT didn't find black bullits with the proper offset, thats why they stick out 3/4" on either side. It looks kinda cool, old school. But I still would want my rims and tires to be flush with the fenders. If you go to cardomain.com and find the MRT car on there you will see more pics of it and see how much the wheels stick out. I have a black '05 and I think black bullits look great, but for the 10.5" rear rims they need the correct offset. My $.02

Thanks Rod...

I found some black bullits a while back that were 18x9 or 18x9.5". do you think I could fit 285/40/18 tires on those in the back?

Any of the bullit wheels sold right now are with the 25mm offset and the new '05 Stang needs a 45mm offset. A 9" rim may work but it will be cutting it close, might stick out a hair. a 9.5" rim with a 25mm offset will stick out 1/4". As far as tire size goes a 285 will fit perfect on a 9.5" rim. On a 9" rim I wouldn't go any wider then 275, the 285 WILL fit but its too much of a bulge at the sidewall for my liking. Steeda makes a 9.5"rim for the '05 mustang, and will 285/40/18's they would fit perfect. But they are only in silver and chrome. It won't be long before someone is making a 10.5" wide bullits with the correct offset for the new '05 so a nice fat set of 315's can go under the rear end. There are lots of companies like Boyd Coddington that are make 10" for the rear and 9" for the front with offsets that work for the new Stang but they are $400 to $500 each. The Smoothie II by Boyd look great in polished aluminum but are hard to keep clean. Hope this helps.

I want the rims on that black saleen chop!

I know this has been asked somewhere on this site, but I can't find it for the life of me!

Do GT wheels fit the V6? Are they the same bolt pattern and offset?

Thanks!

i think they look pretty good...takes a brave person to have the same color wheels as the vehicle...there is a black vette around here w/ black zr1 wheels w/ the silver lip...it just looks mysterious....is it fast enough that it doesn't need shiny wheels????? That's the question?
-I say go w/ it....I've got a black 05 GT and I have been thinking about the same thing.
