2006 Saleen Exhaust

Recently bought an 06 Saleen Mustang with only 16K miles. the only issue is the Exhaust has been removed, I would like to take the Exhaust back to or as close to original as possible. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

stock GT exhaust components are a dime a dozen on Craig's List and E-bay, when they come up ... you might just need to watch the adds for a little while, eventually they will come along

Congrats on your recent "06" Saleen S281 purchase.. She looks absolutely stunning, especially with only 16k original miles... As for replacing the stock exhaust, you want to consider visiting the Saleen forums at https://saleenforums.soec.org Their website would be your best source for locating a potential stock Saleen exhaust for your S281... In the meantime, thanks for sharing an image of your awesome ride, best of luck and welcome aboard

Just an FYI: The stock exhaust on the Saleen variants are completely different from the stock Mustang GT models...The rear valances are completely different including the locations for the exhaust cutouts..
Therefore, the exhaust from the standard Mustang GT wouldn't line up nor fit properly, to begin with anyhow...More than likely, this is also the main reason the OP specifically stated in his post that he's searching for an exhaust which is either the original, or as close to original as possible...

Yes! He meant OEM Saleen original, not OEM Ford original...

Sharp looking car! Yes find the Saleen forum and they will be able to point you to the correct setup to match the OEM Saleen exhaust. It likely is a Borla, Corsa or another well known 3rd party manufacturer

EDIT: Just looked at the Saleen site and they list parts for the S197 exhaust...
https://www.saleenperformance.com/collections/exhaust

I would give them a call. (855) SALEEN-1

Actually, the stock exhaust for the 2005-09 S281 models were manufactured for Saleen by Magnaflow!

As for the parts listed on the Saleen site? the only parts listed for the 2005-09 models are the exhaust tips.. The OP requires the complete OEM Saleen cat-back exhaust which was discontinued by Saleen well over 12 years ago... The Saleen phone number provided, is nothing but a waste of time, as nobody who worked for Saleen from 2005-12 is no longer there who has any knowledge nor info regarding parts for the older 2005-2009 Saleen S281 models...

That being said, the OP's best option is to visit the Saleen Forums as provided as his best resource for locating potential OEM stock exhaust components for his 2006 Saleen S281...
