I just bought my new 2003 Saleen S281 last weekend. The exhaust has a decent sound but it too quiet for my liking. It has a Saleen x pipe and the mufflers are magnaflows. Has anyone changed out their mufflers or x pipe on their Saleen?

I like to stay under the cops radar. I am more concerned about performance then sound. Does the current system kick out the most hp????

The only way your gonna get it any louder is by going to an offroad xpipe. Then you will have to get either a chip burnt to cut the check engine light off or you will need mil eliminators. If the car is still new give it a couple months to let the exhaust wear in. Sometimes it takes some miles for them to get louder.

Yeah it is the cat's making it quieter. I promise if you put a o/r x-pipe on there, it will wake those magnaflows up ten fold.

I've been thinking about adding a different x-pipe. I had a bassani x with magnaflow mufflers/Roush side exhaust on my cobra. It sounded pretty awesome.
