Yeah, that's a huge pet peeve of mine too. It seems to be worse with GM cars; it's easy to position the steering wheel to block the high beam indicator.

It's not people driving around with their high beams on, it's these new brighter, whiter headlights. 15 years ago, Ford started it and ever since then it's been like a competition to see who can be brighter. They're dangerous if you ask me. I'm just waiting for them to cause a wreck and someone sue one of the auto manufacturers for installing them.
