IMO - YUCK, I run into loose wheel mounted sensors all the time. Not to mention that the rubber grommet and pressure sensor nut (along the with the valvestem core) should be replaced whenever the wheel is serviced.

I believe there is a way to turn them off at the Dealer Level But if it were done they would be in violation of Federal Law. So that would rule out that option. I can see the Aftermarket coming up with a solution for { Off Road Applications}
