Sync

SO now that we all have 2007 vehicles with out sync but only have an i-pod plug could this feature be purchased and added to the current Shaker 500 or would the whole thing have to be replaced?

Sorry to say, but SYNC is not retro-fittable. Its tied into the radio AND the entire electrical system of the car, and the safety system as well.

Don't feel bad. SYNC is NOT available in the Mustang. I think they would have to design a different steering wheel for it to work.

I'm hoping Sync gains navigation soon (seems like a huge oversight to leave this out, especially since Microsoft has done embedded systems like Sync before with nav), and can at some point be put into the existing Mustangs, even with more effort then just swapping out the head unit. I'm getting rather fed up with my Infill G4 solution, and it's sad to see that the commercial factory solutions aren't great yet either. At least with Sync, they can make phone calls though, something the MP3Car guys still haven't gotten straightened out yet.
