I had a gloss black panel, but did replace it with a matte black panel. It was just a vinyl sheet. I forgot where I bought it from, but I think any sign shop can make it for you. I just bought a roll of it and it was long/wide enough to fit the panel. Then I cut it to fit.

Sadly, my 006 has only the rear lock to access the trunk!
I'd copy your mod if not....
