Gt500 Leather Dash

Kevin can you add the GT500 leather dash to the hotsheet? I want to see what the cost is and am interested in switching them out. I know the shiftboot and console cover are leather but are the door panel armrests? If so add them as well

Thanks

Hey guys, just be prepared, ITS REAL PRICEY!! I think KC has mentioned before that the entire dash has to be replaced, as you can't just get the top (I could be wrong, or FoMoCo may have changed the way the part is available). If it hasn't changed and an entire dash is required, prepare to pay over 4 figures I think.

wow, ouch!!!!

but im really not surprised...

it would probably be cheaper to take your dash to someone and get it custom done.

The leather/Shelby dash top is 2 pieces, while our dash tops are a single piece. Much better off getting it custom done. I am looking into it myself.

Cheers

I have changed out the entire dash in my 05 and it is one single piece. It changed it out while changing color from grey to black and it wasn't fun at all. It took so long to get everything set aside so as not get lose part and took the longest time detaching the very front that attaches to the defrost and a/c unit. There were two screws that needed to be taken off that I am assuming were put on before the windshield. You cannot fit any screwdriver in there, the space is too small. However, I did finally get it finished and it looked great. I think I would still do it again though to put in leather, but not if it is really pricey.

That Padded Dash Only Comes as a Complete Housing Assembly. It Retails a bit over 2 Grand.

My 07 GT has it with the factory option "Premier Trim Package" which was under $400 and included a lot of different things. How can it be that different?

Because your buying the parts separately, after the fact! Whenever you order something from the factory, its always going to be cheaper as they have it in large bulk, but after the sale, the parts are what Ford thinks they are worth separately. And the dashboard is very expensive.

If you really wanted a leather dash top panel, couldn't you just have an upholstery shop wrap it in leather? Seems like it would be a lot cheaper than $2k....
