Because it supports US production/products....if the money goes offshore then it certainly isn't helping our country. As long as the U.S. builds a quality product then I think it's sort of patriotic to support your own products. We used to be a country that produced products but with people not caring and buying offshore products it has only weakened us as a country.

Now if the product you are comparing it to is far superior then it's more difficult to argue against a quality arguement.
