Thanks, I found Doug's topic after I posted my previous question.

I must be blind; I have your hotsheets from 3/21 and cannot find the intake listed on them.

Not to my knowledge, but I have done it to my V6. I am almost finished fixing the Bullitt hose to go onto my V6. Just waiting for my adapter piece to come in.

Thumbs up It doesn't come painted

Hey since the weather was nice here in Chi-town I was able to do some painting. What do you think? I was also able to install my Scott Drake MUSTANG letters on my deck lid.

I used the following Dupli-Colors:
  • NG FM 306 Cardinal Red
  • NG FM 335 Perfirmance White
  • NG CC 422 Intense Blue Pearl (I know this is a chrysler color but there wasn't a good blue in the Ford colors to choose from. They had a navy color but I figured that wouldn't work.)
When doing this I started with the blue and filled in the oval. You can try and be careful not to get it on the letters but it doesn't really matter because they are being painted over. (You need to make sure that it is completly dry if you are paintin over).
When it was dry I used the cool ball point end to do the lettering to get it started. Then I came back over it with the brush and a stedy hand. Start from the top and work your way down. The Red Racing was done last as that is at the bottom and I didn't want to put my hand in red paint. You can use an Xacto knife it you have a little run off on the white oval or any of the racing letters. Just slice the paint blob at the top and it just peels off. (Don't use a heavy hand.)

Bare air box + air filter seal + air filter = $201.76 + $9.26 + $54.75 = $265.77

What else is included with the complete air box for $316.01?

Do the two pieces for $361.44 include the filter and all hardware? (i.e., nothing else required for the install?)

Either way I suspect you're gonna have quite the project on your hands!!

Well I finished my conversion of the actual Bullitt intake hose and I have it now fit on my V6. Here are the pictures. It works like a charm.... The increase since the tune is AWESOME!!!!

Any ideas on how to clean the filter or is it one of those things where you can only replace it?

Its a paper filter... so cleaning can be a bit difficult. Just recently I had the pleasure of going to the dealership, purchasing a replacement filter, and replacing the one on the car...

That looks great! I already have a shaker hood but it looks like the duct from it would install in the back like on the factory air box. I am curious to know where the air is coming from for the bullitt air box and if you need to modify anything in the hood area for it to work.

If I were going to Eliminate the Resonator I would Not Simply Put a Couple of Plugs in the holes. They Should Be Attached to a Flat Plate So they can not Get Sucked in or Drop Out. I would Make the Plugs Just long enough so the Top of the Plug Created a New Floor For the Intake for as Smooth a Flow inside. I made a Crude Drawing To Illustrate the Basic Idea. The Hot Setup would be Something Machined out of Billet Aluminum.
