A guy at specialts told me today that Radio Shack does sell the male to male adapter!

Does anybody have a picture of the AUX jack for the Shaker 500? I have a AUX control on my Shaker; wouldn't it be a simple matter of geting the correct male connectors and plugging the ipod into the Shaker AUX port? What am I missing here?

You need the wire that goes from the console to the radio, AND the external plug that hooks from the ipod to the wire. I wasn't able to get the radio out of a 2007 Mustang, so I couldn't take a look at the plug that goes from the wire into the radio. Now since the line in wire is loomed with the power port, AND the restraint module, and costs WAY TOO MUCH, I am waiting for a 2007 F150 to arrive. The good thing with this truck, is that all cd radio's will come with an ipod connector on top of the dash, where that recessed with the rubber part of the center dash is. I am hoping that the radio can ge gotten to much easier than the Mustang (it should be) and that the wire will just be hanging there, since the jack is just above the radio. The 07's won't be in for another month, but once one arrives, I'll play around with it.

Sort of an update, but don't get excited. We finally got an '07 F150 in, but its a King Ranch, with the Navigation, and I really am not comfortable messing with that system. See, I will have to take the radio out, to see the wire behind it, and I don't really want to take this out. Too many things could go wrong. I hope to see more '07's in soon.

What will the TripTunes advanced do that the regular TripTunes doesn't? Has anybody had the TripTunes installed in an '05 or '06? How does it work?

The TripTunes Advanced, from what Ford reported, will act just like the factory AUX plug thats in the car now. Plus it will charge the Ipod when plugged in, and you will be able to control the Ipod from the headunit, and change songs from steering wheel controls.

The regular TripTunes was a MAJOR letdown. All that was, was a hardwired version of an FM Modulated kit that you could already purchase from DLO, among other companies. The new one will be digital, as it will plug into the back of the radio, while the old system used an FM station to broadcast the songs from the Ipod. FM Modulated will have some static.

That is what Ford is telling us, yes. You won't have to have your Ipod next to you. I am waiting for this to arrive.

I wonder if its menu and if you can go through the folders and not just seeking because on ebay there are ipod adapters that go through the radio but they only do seek and dont show song titles

sorry to you ipod loving guys but i hope the connection is a simple audio plug and not a ipod connection... i want to hook up my XM radio directly, I'm tired of hearing static... maybe they'll have an option for which one you want... that would be best.

Ford P/N for Aux Audio Input Jack

Is there a Ford Part number for the Aux Audio input jack (Line In) that goes in the center console compartment. Or does anyone know where I can get something aftermarket that look close? Please see link below for pic. I am installing the PIE unit and want to run the audio in like the 07 stangs in my 06.

Are you looking for the plug that is in the center console? If so, I believe I still have the part # at home.

I'll see if I can track down where I put it. I didn't keep it handy once I figured out that I couldn't use the wire anyhow, since it was all connected. Let me check at home and I'll try to post something tomorrow.
