Factory Engine Cover $$$$$$$$$
I got my plenum cover yesterday and installed it today. It's a nice touch. Super easy install, maybe 10 minutes, though I'm not sure why Ford used the bolts up front instead of the other clips on the side. $85 plus $12 (OMG!) for the hardware at my local dealer. Thanks KC for the part #s. The horses legs are lifting up just a tiny bit from the cover. It's no big deal if it stays like that, but definitely a problem if it gets worse in the heat. Otherwise, a great product and worthwhile. I found some high heat paint that nearly matches it and I'm gonna do my valve covers in that, then maybe add custom decals to them if I can't find ones I like already made. This is fun!

KC...again thank you for the time and effort you are putting in. The cover looks great, the Strut bar adds a great deal of improvement to the handling and stability of the front end (GT 'Vert) and the leather covered console lid is a HUGE comfort improvement. As for wifey...tell her the entire TMS family thanks her for putting up with us...and Happy Anniversary!
Hello KC I am having alot of difficulty in receiving a cover from the dealer, they are getting the runaround from Ford. I had one on order since January 06. They order has been confirmed again as of today but still no stock. My question is how many have you received to date , Ford has said to my dealer that since the part has been released that only 26 have been shipped? Have you received bolts and nuts as well because Ford is showing no stock as well. I was promised the last deliveryto be July 15. Now they are telling me the end of the month. Can you please advise. Thank you.
I was told around July 28th.
See if 05stangkc can hook you up sooner. email him, give him time to reply, hes been busy.
They are on National backorder so Ive been told, and with things like that the date cant always be assured.

Don't worry, Kev, I now have your anniversary on my calendar, so I'll send you an email reminder next year. I've got your back, buddy....let me know her birthday and I'll remind you of that also....M.
Just got my Ford intake cover, looked great but it was tacky to the touch. After a minute of simple handling I had put a small smudge in the grey paint on top. The paint actually rubbed off in that spot! Needless to say, I'll be getting a new part as soon as they come off backorder. Until then, it looks 500% better than stock!
Thanks a bunch Kevin for all the work that you have done in delivering these new intake covers. As soon as that baby arrived, I couldn't wait to get it installed. It looks awsome and I am very happy. It looks so much better than my Midwest cover and that one looked nice I thought. I decided to sell the old one on Ebay. I figured $50.00 bucks was a good selling price for the cover and fare, it is now over what I paid for it on the group buy. So all is good. Again thanks Kevin. All that are getting the new cover, you will love it. Will post a pic soon although there are a lot of pics already.

FRPP has been trying to decide if they can modify the FRPP brace to clear the cover, and still fit under the stock hood. As of last week, they are still working on it, but no answer yet. The wheels turn ever so slowly in big companies! Marty thinks it may not be possible for the FRPP brace to clear the cover and still clear the stock hood too, as the brace already creases the hood liner. I'll post again as soon as I get the final word.
"We have not tried the Cobra strut tower brace with the manifold cover. We are looking into a different (stiffer) design tower brace for the Cobra Mustang. We know that the Cobra Mustang hood has more clearance on the inside, allowing the bar to be higher. It looks like the engineer for the intake cover will not have any answers for awhile. He has other projects that must be finished first."
In referring to the "Cobra Mustang", he means the Shelby GT500.
