Ok, this is a mustang forum but reading about the ford torino and it is rated at 443hp and 525ft/lbs torque, if that's right. But one site says 5.0Lmustang gt engine but another says 5.0L ecoboost. Can I assume it's a gt engine with turbo? Says top speed of 214 mph. Guess the ecoboost turbo is the difference. This means adding a ford racing after market super charger (just released) gives the mustang gt close to 600 or more hp??? What does anyone know about the 2015 torino specs???????

The Torino is quite the myth, looks like. Just some pages hopin' to reel you in with the hype of the idea. But calling it an Ecoboost 5.0 at 443HP is just silly. There's no 'Eco' in that engine... ever. And if you did put the turbo, that'd have to be a 550-600 HP motor, not a paltry (for the 5.0) 443.

Don't know if you can believe hype but site says 443 hp and 214 top end. Now if it's same engine as 2015 gt, how can it get more top end and torque unless a ecoboost charger may make the difference??

 

It can't. It all someone's fantasy. It's not going to happen, and especially not like that.

 

Even if it were true, how much tarmac would you need to hit that kind of speed on a motor sporting 443hp? probably a lot.
