I actually prefer the boxy look of the current Escape.

 

I absolutely can't stand the looks of overly modern cars.

 

I find this quite good looking. They took the sleek, slim aesthetic of the Kuga and bulked it up into a more muscular, athletic look without becoming overwrought. I'm going to look forward to taking this for a spin.
