I am friends with the SVT Cheif Engineer on facebook and he posted this morning this about the Raptors in Dakar.
Dakar Rally Update: Through the end of Stage 11 (2 more to go!) the USA Raptor is 37th overall (1st in Open Class for SCORE based vehicles) and the Chilean Raptor is 51st overall.
update from cheif engineer at svt. posted on facebook shortly ago.
Congrats to the team!
Team USA Dakar Raptor finishes the 2011 Dakar Rally!!! The world's most grueling race lasting 16 days and 9500 km it looks like they finished 40th overall and WON the OP class making them the first American team to ever win a class in the Dakar Rally. Unbelievable. Production vehicles don't really even enter this race let alone finish it let alone win their class...so proud of them and the truck!
