Meet the New Escape?

Ausrutherford over at BON/FIN found what looks like it might be a sketch of the new Ford Escape/Kuga that will show up in "concept" form at Detroit.

I hope they won't overdo truck's grille, like they did on a new Edge.

MELBOURNE, Australia — Ford Australia has released a sketch of its second-generation Territory crossover that's due in 2011. The buzz from Down Under is that the rakish new design, in fact, is a preview of the next-generation Ford Escape in North America, which will be displayed in concept form next month at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show.
Ford confirmed that both crossover vehicles will have some similarity when it observed, in the blurb attached to the Territory sketch, that the new Australian design "provides a glimpse into the future of Ford's global SUV styling."
