If they stay with the current fan base, then that is accurate. I hope that they plan to grow. Not as a poor man's rolls, or as an American BMW, but as Lincoln - a combination of attitude and style. The song didn't talk about the "Hot Rod Lincoln" because it had great ambiance, but because it had swagger. Go big, go bold, or go home.

That was incomplete - by bold, I think the suicide doors are right. Add in the GT500 engine as a line topper. I can see the car pulling up at red carpet events, doors swinging back...

Build a sports car that uses the hybrid drivetrain, but push it in the direction of the Porsche 918 - the positive publicity that VW will get from that car is immense.

If Lincoln were to put the 355/65 (or aim at 400hp) ecoboost into the MKZ, make it AWD with a performance calibration, with far better suspension setup, some different aesthetics to set it off from the norm (vents, rims, de-chrome certain parts, etc...). It would be an awesome performer.
