SVT's Jamal Hameedi apparently confirmed that a new SVT model is set to debut this fall, that it will be based on the F150 platform, and that it isn't related to the Raptor off road project. Assuming the above is accurate that can mean only one thing, the Lightning is coming back.

If they decide not to call it the Lightning......then they are all idiots. That name is iconic to the high performance truck market, and they'd be complete fools not to utilize that. Very cool none the less.

 

Bah probably a new Harley...I'd just love to see them get the adrenalin on track

Update: After hearing from someone at Ford and talking to Mike Levine from PickupTrucks.com this new truck will almost certainly not be called a Lightning. In fact according to Mike, this new truck is likely to be the new Harley-Davidson F-150.
