Last night I met up with a good friend of mine who took delivery of his 2005 GT and went for a little ride. The car has just over 300 miles on it, so it's not broken in yet and he didn't want to beat on it. But what he did do was most impressive, to me at least. I've never ridden or driven an 03/04 Cobra so I have no comparison, but this thing was just unreal. You mash the throttle, it goes NOW. Ordinarily, from the passenger seat it's hard to get a feel of the acceleration IMO. Not with this car [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/04.gif[/img] It pushes you back in the seat and before you know it, you're doing 100MPH [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banana.gif[/img] It's a very solid riding car, not harsh but a lot firmer than the S197 GT. We went around a corner that I swear he could have taken at 80MPH and the thing wouldn't have batted an eye. I bashed the crap out of my head getting out of it - the top of the doors isn't forgiving [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/lol.gif[/img] So here are the pics, and I do have some video (about 45Meg worth - anyone willing to host it?). I should have got this one on video - he was patting the roof saying, "Mine...all mine!"

Didn't know the car had a wickerbill on it! But I guess at 205MPH you need it [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen.gif[/img]

Man, the thang is so cool (come on Lotto ticket). Boy, it's low too. The Stang looks like a panel van sitting next to it (but at least you don't crack your skulls every other time you get out of a Stang).

Hey Dave, congrats on your ride of a lifetime. Having riden in one, AND driven one on several occations, isn't that the most AMAZING car ever? The power that the GT generates is just mind blowing. Yeah it was definitely a memorable experience [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen.gif[/img] He mentioned possibly going to a dyno day I'm in the process of setting up in May. It should be broken in by then [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/banana.gif[/img] Oh to hear that thing at full song [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/drool.gif[/img]
