That looks terrible. And with nothing but 'legend' to support this guys story I cannot beleive bidding had reached the level that it has.

looks terrible? in what way. The fricken door completely disappears. thats some pretty great engineering right there.

The fact that it is novel in concept doesn't mean that it looks very good. The doors are oddly proportioned now which makes the whole car look out of balance and, as I stated earlier, terrible. It also isn't really that amazing. All they did was make a door slide under the car. Frankly it reminds me of the cheesy trick so commonly employed on show cars in the 50's, 60's, and 70's or something to come out of one of those over-priced car 'personalization' companies they cover on TV.
