I realize this is a Dodge. But what about a bumper replacement/grille guard setup like this one?

Arin's right. It looks really overdone.

I love this one. But they don't make it for my vehicle.

Looking very good Gary, it is going to be a really nice truck when your done. I have to agree with Arin on the bumpers too. They just seem to be too much for a 1/2 ton series truck.

How about something more like this:

or this:

I like the top one the best but would get it like the lower one w/o the grill guard.

I was just brousing on e-bay and found a 1996 EB Edition 5.8L with only 69K on the odo. It's at almost 9k on the bids but has not met reserve. People really do love these things.

There's a guy out of Pennsylvania I think that finds these things across the country and then cleans them up and sells them on ebay. A truck like that would probably get over $14k for it. He only sells the best and he provides like a hundred pictures of everything you can think of. I rarely see him sell one for less than $10k. But he also never has one that isn't completely stock and never ore than 100k miles.

Yup. That's the guy. Broncoman.

I'd love to have the clear plastic light cover in this console. That's the only thing missing on my whole Bronco.

Hey Gary, that looks just like the one in my '00 Explorer Limited.

(sorry about the crappy pic and the angle, I just took it in the dark, haha)

Maybe you could try and see if one of these will fit.

It looks like it really could.

These consoles were only in Eddie Bauer trucks and Broncos back in the mid nineties. The whole console sells for over $100 on ebay when they show up, but I don't need the whole thing.

I think its worth looking at these in Limited Explorers too to see if they fit.

Now where do I look?

I just looked at my 01 XLT and it is the same as well. There were literally millions of these things sold. Junkyards are full of them. First place I would check is the Ford dealer. See if the parts dept list just the lens for the Explorer.

I took mine out, and it doesn't have a part number on it, but I would still check with the parts dept., then call some junkyards.

Kind of steep just for a lens though.

Lee,

What is the up/down button at the back of it control?

I might consider switching to this console. I hate the net thing on the Bronco. It's stupid. And the garage door opener thing is huge. It needs to go. It almost looks like I could just mount this up. The contours are the same at the front it seems.

Sunroof on the Limited, the XLT has no button there (no sunroof)

It wouldn't be a bad place to put a light switch. Rig something up for some driving lights.

Correction from that last post. Went and looked again, and the XLT has a dummy there, and it opens up (wtf you would ever put in there I don't know, a pack of gum might fit lol). Never really paid attention to it, I never turn those lights on by themselves and I only look up there for the temp.

That one is like the Bronco. You are supposed to put one of those giant old fashioned garage door opener transmitters in there with the velco tape. Then you push on that button in the middle to open the door. That button lines up with the button on the transmitter.

Ahhhhh I see said the blind man. Makes sense now. The limited has the homelink thing on the sunvisor (and a digital voice recorder, never used it) you can see it in the first pic I posted.

I've never seen the voice recorder before.

Is that the Nixon Edition Limited Explorer?
