Fusion vs. Camry

I'll admit I rolled my eyes when I saw this thread. I thought FOR SURE I guessed the winner. Sometimes I enjoy being wrong!

New 07 Camry sucks, they have many transmission problems.
And worst part is - Toyota is refusing to fix them. Toyota said that when transmission is gone completely bad they will replace it under warranty, but by the time some of those cars have transmission problems they might not have warranty anymore.
Avalon have same problems.

I havent had the experience of driving in the Fusion, but I've been in a Camry a few times, and they are the most boring, unemotional, sensible-to-a-fault car I've ever ridden in. I'm sure if i were to drive one I would have a similar experience. They're fine cars, but i require a bit more excitement when I drive in order to not fall asleep at the wheel.

I smell a little bias on this test

I wouldn't say that. The Detroit papers have been just as hard on Ford & Chevy as some of the other publications in recent years.

Amen to that! Nothing is given to Ford when it comes to press/media. I know first hand the Fusion/Milan/Zephyr are that good. We have a '06 Milan V6..have put 2,000 miles on it so far and its been awesome. Good power, refined interior and ride. Those that have not driven one, especially a V6 version, you should...dare to be impressed for your new car dollar!
Oh, I have driven the Lincoln and the 4 cylinder Fusions too...prefer the V6's, but the 4 isn't too thrashy overall.

I love the fusion, and it is awesome to see it finally win one of these lame magazine comparos
I cant wait for it to get the new V6, though
the only things i would change on the fusion are the rear lights and add a coupe version. If that happens, I might get me one when i get the moneys

Every publication can be biased sometimes. I think the main point is it's just nice to read some positive reviews. Everyone has a different opinion on what they like. Let's just leave it at that.
