Ford car sales doing well

Andy, stop hatin' on Toyota. Not only did Toyota sold more cars than Ford, but Chevrolet beat them too. And if you really wanna use J.D. Power and Associates for example, then you probably know that Lexus is rated #1 for 11th year in the row and Toyota is rated better than Ford.

Don't like it? Then don't read it, don't comment. Its a Ford website not a Toyota site. Want to talk about Toyota's all day long? Theres a site out there for you somewhere, but its not here.
Last year Mark posted the JD Power overall ratings and it showed Lincoln right up there with Lexus and you sat there and argued for days how it was incorrect. Did you happen to notice who was right there with Lexus in the IQS study? JAGUAR!!! A Ford product!
Mark posted some info on car sales and so do I and what do you say?...
Now they gotta do something about trucks and suvs lineup because Chevy outsold them after 18 years.

Again I am not hating on anyone. I stated multiple car companies there for you. VW, GMC, Honda!

Nothing but negativity. You take everything as a personal attack on you. Its not!

No, this is not a Ford site, its a Mustang site. But even if it is Ford's site, this part is still called "General Car Chat" which means you can talk about any car.
Lincoln was #3 on that list with 12 more problems per vehicles than Lexus. Toyota was #7, Ford was #12 (by the way, Jaguar is #23). I still don't consider source JD Power ratings as great ratings, but since you do you should know that Lexus is rated better than Lincoln and Toyota is rated better than Ford.
About topic that Mark posted about Ford's car sales - I said nothing but true. Chevrolet outsold Ford after 18 years.

You're obviously not reading the 2005 IQS study Zoran. Jaguar is right up there with Lexus at #2.
This is the report you're reading...
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?sh...jd%20power&st=0
Maybe you need to go back and reread what happened from that too. You're still stuck in your mindset. I don't use JD Power as one single all knowing source. I gather my info from abroad, something you should learn to do.
And once again, I posted issues with 3 companies not just Toyota. I don't intentionally try and find fault with them. But when it pops up I make it known. Just like the problem with the Civic.
And yes this is a Ford based site, and this is the "Other Fords" section.
I don't care what you drive, what you like, what you dislike. And you can sit and cry  about it all day long that people disagree with you, welcome to the real world.
I don't have to like what you do and I don't. And to top it off I don't give a flying fornication if you don't like it.

So not true. I've been on this site a lot longer than you and I remember when you first came here. Since then you've been trying to find Toyota's errors more than any other car factory. For other cars (like Honda Civic recently) you've been talking how they're not reliable. For Toyota (since you can't find any problems with engine) you've been talking only about safety. For example, here is one. How come you said "drumroll" for Corolla only?
<!--QuoteBegin-1999 Black 35th GT@November 15, 2005, 3:35 PM
1. Suzuki Forenza
2. Mazda 6
3. Nissan Sentra
4. Hyundai Elantra
5. Kia Amanti
and drumroll please...
6. Toyota Corolla
[/quote]
Just one more thing. Since you care about safety that much and you always mention Toyota's problems with safety, how come you never mention problems with brakes on F-150? If you don't beleive me, check ford-truck.som. Many people are complaining about brake problems on F-150 and I'm one of them, because they are really bad.
Here is something you may wanna read, of course you'll say that its just bunch of crap especially when you see in which group Mustang V6 is in. Click Me

You mean the F-150 which is the only truck to ever recieve the top govt. and IIHS safety test. Funny how I've never heard you complain about the brakes till now. And then you complain about gas mileage. Wakey wakey Zoran! Its a truck! But you have a habit of doing that. You notice how Ford has corrected that while for the past 3 MY Toyota has ignored the blaring issue of safety in the Tacoma.
Ever read the safety test for the Sienna, failed the rear miserably. How about the Crapolla, failed the rear, I wouldn't expect to see it on the recommended list much longer What about the Tacoma which has continueously failed the rollover test. How about the Camry, failed the side crash test. Yeah those are quality cars. Oh, don't forget the Sienna safety belts operating incorrectly and the
And before you go tooting your horn about CR, did you see what they recommend now? Five Hundred, Focus, Taurus, Explorer Sport Trac.
Hey and they have safer ratings too! How about that.
I know you'll sit there and say "Oh safety doesn't matter." Well but the majority of the nation does.
I did the "drumroll" thing to purposely get you going because I tell you what, you're an annoyance. You say hardly anything positive about Ford even though your on a Mustang site under the "Other Fords" section. One of the members will post something and you'll be immediatly rude. Grow up! As I see you can't take a little of your own medicine.
Oh by the way, I read your post from Fordtrucks.com! LOL It looks like you're not too well recieved over there either. Notice a trend yet?
Here I'll post it for the rest of the forum to read...
Truck post.
You can PM if you want to discuss, I'm just gonna iggy you from now on.

come on guys... chill! I wanna waste my valuable last minute studying time to read informative and constructive discussion about ford news, not to read constant bickering that keeps going around and around and around....
You guys don't actually expect to change each other this way do you?
so! how bout those ford car sales eh? doing better than last year it seems....

I never complained about gas mileage on my truck. N E V E R. I did say it have poor gas mileage, but I expected that, I never say it doesn't get gas mileage that Ford advertised it for (unlike Mustang).
And most of people don't care that much about their cars safety. Just because you do - doesn't mean everybody does. Othervise, "unsafe" Corolla wouldn't be best selling small sedan (along with "unreliable" Civic) for years.
Everything I post is the truth. Did Chevrolet outsold Ford after 18 years? Yes it did. What did you expect from me to say, that it didn't? And yes, I did post that topic on ford-trucks, but I quoted what Consumer Reports said. You quote many sources all the times, why I can't do the same thing too? Its not my fault that people just don't get excited about Ford's products anymore. Other than new Mustang and maybe even Fusion, Ford's new cars are not receiving any attention at all. I like Fords and I have 2 of them, but they're in deep trouble now and you're trying to ignore that. Doesn't work that way buddy. Since last year or so I've been listening to you how sales of Toyota will go down (because of safety issues) and sales of Ford will go up (because they're just as reliable as top imports). What happened to that statement? Did any of it came true? :nono:

I'm not saying Ford is perfect in any way. No company is!
And I am certainly not ignoring the fact that Ford sales need to pick up. I never said everything is all fine in the sales aspect did I? No.
BUT, if you look at the stats, Ford's car sales have risen better than Toyota's have over the past year. And yes I still stand behind what I said and like I said it takes more than 8 months to change things, but from what I am seeing, signs are pointing to "Good" with an increase of car sales (which is the most important right now for them) of 10.7%
The fact of Toyota's sales lagging was from the CEO of Toyota, Watanabe too Zoran. Its not coming from an outside source but from the inside.

once again... keep things on topic
Seems that the big 3 relied heavily on fleet sales to prop up numbers last month.
retail sales dropped over 20% last month
Hopefully this was primarily to the Taurus and not the new models which hopefully won't be diluted by fleet sales.

I read AutoWeek pretty much everyday and I get pretty much all information from them. Last thing I heard from them about sales is that Fords sales are down by 20% for last months and Toyotas sales are up by 11% for last months. I don't really know where you get your information that Fords sales are going up, because according to AutoWeek - they're not.
I wanna see Ford succeding, but that is just not happening now (again, according to AutoWeek).

Zoran,
That autoweek article only tells half of the story.
It says that retail vehicle sales (cars, trucks & SUV bought by individuals) went down by about 20%
To reduce the impact, a lot of fleet sales were made to make up some of the difference, fleets are bulk sales.
I believe that car sales are going up, ever so slightly, but truck/SUV sales have plumetted, that that's why you see the overall sales drop.

Anywho the information was YTD car sales info, you're looking at monthly overall sales Zoran which includes fleet from Toyota such as Hino and Daihatsu. In their car sales dept. they are starting to lag, again this is from the CEO of the company.
The info Mark posted is for strictly YTD Ford car sales, which were up 10.7% above the average for the industry which is 3.4%
September and October are rough months in the car business, everywhere. No matter where you work.
Mark where was that info from?

Must be a different source then. Because the National Auto Dealers Association (which is huge and goes from the consumer) rated safety as the most important buying factor for 2005. Last year though it was far from the top.

If I can find the survey, I'll post it. Sometimes the answer you get depends on how you ask the question.
