This same dealer is still marking up the Mustang GT also.
I love the general manager's line (according to the plaintiff): "I'm not selling this car for MSRP. I will sell this car for a lot higher price, and I don't care what your contract says."

I bought a Ford Tempo (I know, but I was a young family man) from them in 1988 and would never buy from them again. :notnice:

This should be interesting.
If both buyer and dealer have everything in writing, then the dealer will lose, no doubt about that.

If the contract does say "....at MSPR..." than, hopefully, the dealer will lose. It will interesting to watch. Is there any member in the area that can monitor this case for the rest of us?

The dealer is going to get enough bad press from just his comments alone that people (no offense to someone) who already hate dealing with car salesmen will avoid him like the plague.
My brother had something similar happen, he had the deal done on a pre-ordered PT Cruiser limited but when the dealer saw how much people wanted them (this is when they first came out) he told my brother he was going to give him $4,000 less for his trade in. I guess the dealer thought he would get to keep the PT and mark it up and that my brother couldn't afford to have both cars, wrong, my brother kept his old car and bought the PT Cruiser for the price on the contract.
There is a car dealership here in the area who has so many complaints from Navy personnel that during indoctrination courses we tell everyone to stay away from the dealership. We can't blackball them due to legal issues.......just give fair warning.
Do you have any idea of how many Navy personnel are in the Norfolk Virginia area?? That dealership is suffering.

If the customer had a deal in writing, I think that the dealership is S.O.L.
I wish I were closer to Va Beach so i could take care of my Navy Breathern. I am an old fleet sailor myself.

Reading this opens up our old wounds with our ordered Mustang GT. It was only verbal ordered in wifes name. And in deed the GSM dicked us at time of delivere. Oh well we expected it. Happier with our present one anyway.
Sad to say many of our friends still shop there for one reason or another.
I hope this guy has a completed contract
therefore should win.
