They design something that can finally compete with the small truck imports and it's for freaking Thailand?
And we get stuck with the same old tired Ranger design until '08?

I still wish they had a true 4 door Ranger. Lack of 4 door is why we bought our Nissan Frontier instead of a Ranger.

On another note, I hope Ford doesn't kill the Ranger line. I've been a big fan of Ranger trucks since before I got into mustangs. I have no need for for a truck in my life so my interest is nil. Whenever I have needed one I always had a buddy with one or I rented one. Yeah, it's nice to see a larger cab but that always comes at the expense of the bed area which is the only reason I can see for having a truck.

Nonetheless, it's nice to see Ford make more choices available in this area. Who knows? Maybe we'll see it here.

 

Is Ford trying NOT to make money here? Because that would make a lot of their recent decisions seemingly make a lot more sense.

 

Don't be surprised if they start importing compact pickups from Thailand, I believe they are #2 behind the US for pickup production.

My understanding is that Ford wants to import Rangers from Thailand and is waiting for an importation deal to go through to see if the same is pheasible?
