Well, the car is going up for auction. I just got my BJ auction booklet today, and there it was. Man. I can't wait to watch and see what it goes for.

Here is that Super Snake along with some other Mustangs I'll be watching:

1966 SHELBY COBRA 427 "SUPERSNAKE"

CSX3015 is a 427cid/800hp Twin Paxton Supercharged V8 with a Super 3-speed automatic transmission. One of two "Supersnakes" produced and Carroll Shelby's personal "Supersnake". Starting out as one of 19 production Competition Cobras this car upgraded by Shelby to "Supersnake" specifications similar to the "Supersnake" he built for Bill Cosby CSX3303. The car is so impressive that when it was featured in the February 1968 Road & Track article it was referred to as "The Cobra to End All Cobras". CSX3015 was also driven across Nevada at least once by Carroll Shelby during the running of the states "Turismos Visitadores" fun run. The most legendary Cobra of all time as documented in the Shelby American World Registry. Just completed freshening in the fall of 2006. "Conceivably one of the most significant and valuable automobiles to ever cross an auction block".

in 2005, Shelby automobiles and unique performance began development of a high performance truck based on the Ford F150. It was intended to fill the void left when the Lightening was discontinued. Three prototypes were built based on the supercab styleside F150; this is the final one completed before the program was shelved. Truck #003 of 3, the proof of concept vehicle received a special Shelby serial plate for documentation in the Shelby World Registry. The prototype supercharged 5.4 liter engine pounds out 500 lbs. of torque through a 3:73 limited slip rear end. It has Shelby exterior badging, custom front and rear fascias, Shelby GT500 style grill insert, composite hood, new rockers, Tonneau cover and spoiler. The Super Truck was lowered with race inspired suspension and has an overdrive transmission and special Ford racing exhaust. The custom leather interior features Shelby's signature, new door inserts, and captains chairs. Shelby logoed Baer 4-wheel disc brakes with slotted rotors will bring the 22" custom Shelby wheels and Pirelli tires to a stop. Pure muscle and pure Shelby, this "Snake Bit" muscle truck is the ultimate collectible. One of the rarest Shelbys in the world and a piece of history.

A rare, spectacular original Shelby GT500 with all correct casting numbers and date codes including the original 428 police interceptor engine and factory 4 speed. Documented by SAAC as the 1st prototype big block A/C car built by Shelby. Less than 100 miles since a fresh rotisserie restoration in the fall 2006 with over $150K in receipts. All components rebuilt/ restored to factory specs from the red oxide underbody to the factory correct detailed suspension. It includes BJ/BK carbs with the original transmission, engine tag (on coil bracket) in place. It even has the original "Shelby Unique" radiator (with tag), original magstars wheels with Goodyear speedway tires and functional rear brake scoops. All unique "Shelby Only" parts are where they should be including A/C rebuilt with NOS parts for R-12 refrigerant; it still blows cool. The 1st of only 34 total 4-speed A/C GT 500's built in 1967, the car was sent to Shelby engineering department as a test car for A/C cooling. It was then tested at Goodyear's track in San Angelo, TX alongside "The Supersnake" for records by Carroll Shelby and the Shelby American Staff on march 23, 1967. Copies of original documents from Shelby American setting up this event go with the car, as well as a Marti report for the Shelby. This rare car was featured in 5/22/2006 issue of Autoweek. own a piece of Shelby history with extensive paperwork and documentation to prove its value. This is the one 1967 GT 500 to own.

1967 SHELBY GT500 E CUSTOM FOOSE FASTBACK

One of only 75 authentic Shelby GT 500E "Eleanor" Super Snakes from unique performance and built exclusively for Paul Teutul Jr. of Orange County Choppers. Chip Foose personally designed the paint scheme and wheels for this car. It is the only Foose designed "Super Snake" and the only one owned by Paul Jr.. The fantastic Shelby has 725+ HP supercharged aluminum Shelby 427 engine bolted to a 5-speed Tremec transmission. Many custom features were designed just for Paul Jr., making it one of a kind. The Shelby has a custom leather interior, complete 4-point roll cage, world-class stereo and more. Equipped with 19-inch Foose designed custom wheels sitting on high performance rubber. The 427 supersnake and the Blackjack are amazing.

Im not a big fan of the bodykit on the black and red Rockford Fosgate one. And that last one looks kinda nasty IMO, kinda like a photochop.

Wasn`t the only GT 500 67 Shelby Mustang with a Lemans 427 called a Supersnake? It was featured on My Classic Car a few years back.

Looks like January 2009 right now, but that depends on what new Mustangs are available at that time. I was hoping for one of the first 2009 models, but that was when 2009 would be the first year of the new body. I just talked with a contact at Ford this week about having PSH at the auction, and he said I could probably send PSH across the block as part of Ford's official group.
