At 3700 lbs base weight, its 700 lbs less than a BOF V6 Explorer and only 500 more than a 2WD V6 Fusion. That's pretty light for anything that size and with that much go juice.

And then you need to have each one badge-engineered across your three primary makes. Just to be certain all market segments and demographics are covered.

I mean, really...
I guess it's working for a Toyota ...

Not especially. They're feeling the pinch, too.

But then again, they're not looking over the edge of the cliff, either.

Toyota is suspending production of the Tundra and Sequoia from August to November and U.S. sales have declined 21%.

It seems its destiny was to to fail from the start

I can't see any advantages it offers over previously existing models. With its relatively poor mileage (17 / 24 HWY mileage), relatively high price ($28,295 - $40,000+) and totally unattractive styling, it seems its destiny was to to fail from the start.

I'm not in the least surprised. This Ford Flex is too boxy, I think it is very UGLY.

Compared to most 7/9-passenger vehicles in this country, 17/24 is quite good.
