Well, unless I'm mistaken, the Aura is NOT a rebadged European vehicle. It was developed on GM's Epsilon platform, and is built at the Kansas City, Kansas, Fairfax Assembly plant.
True enough. That's not to say the Aura doesn't have European roots. The Epsilon platform wasn't built specifically for the Aura, or Saturn. It debuted as an Opel (Vectra) and was shared by the Saab 9-3. (I think in 2003.) Automobilemag.com termed the Aura "essentially an Opel Vectra". JMO, but though the exterior look of the Aura shows some styling cues that sugggest the Opel, I think the Aura looks better.
