Check with your dealer, many have or will have a tester available before the actual shipments start

I don't understand either why hatchback is so much more expensive than sedan.
I think when it came to Focus Mk 1, hatchback was cheaper than sedan.

I saw only one on the road so far, it was a sedan.

I test drove 3 fiesta's when I was in the valley dropping off the shelby. The hatch was nice and the one I would buy. The sedan was much better then I thought it would be. The car was great! I took a 8 miles test drive on the first one it was fast and agile. I got the car to 80mph on the on ramp in 3rd gear. The fit and finish was much better then I had hoped.

On way home from dinner tonight,we dropped into local ford dealership to see the fiesta's...was late so lot was closed, but they had 3 outside (2 hatch,1 sedan)...

thoughts:

-the hatch is by far the better looking.
-the red paint on one of the hatches was frigging beautiful (would look great on a mustang)
-checked the gaps, fit and finish ect...very very good!
-could only see inside threw windows...looked well put togeather, with perhaps it being a bit to busy (but target age groups will probably like)
-the price for the sedan was only 15,500 (canadian family price time...so below invoice)...there gonna sell a ton of these
-i keep thinking ford has a modern day vw bug on there hands...nice looking, what appears to be very well made, great gas milage, and great entry level price for first time car buyers....well done

test drove a blue flame (see pic sample below) SES hatch over at Ford of Orange, with the powershift last sunday.

CONs:
  1. no center armrest ...imo it was weird not having one there for usage.
PROs:
  1. it's no slouch, it felt quicker than my wife's zx5 (zetec, auto).
  2. quite nimble, tossable, looks great, excellent build quality so it'll make a fantastic DD.
*******
found this gem over at fiestafaction.com, owner has a nicely built svtf as well:

That Fiesta is beautiful.

If you don't mind me asking, what was the asking price?

3 door hatch FTW. Spent some time on the t!r3r@ck site "trying out" various 17" wheels to replace the (IMO) fugly factory ones. Looks like that, and perhaps a front "Euro bumper fascia" mod would be on the list for the exterior.

They really gotta bring a 3-door over the atlantic. It's a really nice looking car, takes it over the edge for me. Especially the one with the badass dual exhaust, that things gotta have an ecoboost in it. I don't understand why the North American one got an uglier upper grill though.

test drove a fiesta at the LA auto show and it was actually a lot of fun for a car that also gets great ga mileage. i was very impressed.

Why did they dull down the looks with the US version? The Euro Fiesta looks so much better!

I drove one at SEMA last year, it is a great little car. I was really impressed with the interior, it's much better quality than older compacts. The rep that drove with us (we only got to go around the block in it, unfortunately) even pointed out that one of the cup holders is perfectly sized for a Red Bull can.

The GF is thinking of replacing her 2000 Neon, I'm going to try to talk her into one of these.
