Kinda looks like an Impala to me. That black plastic on the bottom cheapens the car IMO. They will lose customers just to that fact alone.

If that Avalon interior is what passes for fancy, then I guess the bar isn't set as high as I thought.

Its a fancy interior for Toyota. Compare it with other cars in class, like Chrysler 300C or Mercury Sable, and you'll see how nicer Avalon's interior is.
