It my opinion it looks too much like Lincoln MKS, which is a good news for Taurus, but very bad news for MKS.

OMG, look at all that hideous black plastic!

Classic Taurus enthusiasts are not going to be happy about this. <--- True statement.

Meh. Swing and a miss, from what I can see so far.

To be fair though, I'll have to reserve judgement until I can see the car in the flesh. <--- True statement.

Cracking me up!<--- True Statement.

I think it looks good. I'll reserve final judgment until I see it for real.

I actually do see some slight influence from the Interceptor concept in this new Taurus.

I want to see it in a sport trim, kind of like that rendering that was being thrown around a couple of weeks ago. Otherwise, it's nice, very MKS like, and I think I see folding mirrors...

Well it does have that certain Camry/Accord look that buyers expect in the market for this car. At least it is better than the ten year old VW Passat/Audi A6 look. Even those cars have moved a generation beyond their own look and now the Taurus will be just even with the current generation of them but not really further advanced in looks.

Interior looks magnificent - light years ahead of Camry. My-oh-my how things can change, eh?

Too bad Taurus is not competing with Camry anymore.

Main competition now is Toyota Avalon which has a really nice interior.

Yes, you're quite correct. However, from what I can see the Taurus is looking pretty competitive with that Avalon, a car which is technically supposed to be a bit more upscale than Taurus...though the Taurus could certainly take a run at that segment with this new car, I suspect.

Of course, the Avalon is also traditionally a poor seller.

I have never been a fan of a "gated" auto trans and I'm still not! And that interior is BORING!!

Boring, but still fancy. It looks like something that would come out of Lexus, not Toyota.
