2010 Ford Taurus SHO Possibly In The Works, Ford SHOpping Idea To Focus Groups
I completely agree.
A SVT Fusion (or Fusion SHO) is far more important than a Taurus SHO.
Today's Taurus is a different animal than the 1st generation Taurus. Today's Taurus is a Crown Vic replacement.
Today's Fusion is the replacement for the original Taurus.
1990 Taurus SHO
188.4" long - 70.8" wide - 106" wheelbase - 2956 lbs
2008 Fusion
190.2" long - 72.2" wide - 107.4" wheelbase - 3325 lbs

Taurus ST?

When the ST does debut, it's going to be packing Ford's new 3.5-liter, twin turbo, V6 motor. Previously known as the "Twin Force" motor, Ford has now re-branded it with the much more sedate "EcoBoost" name. Even with its less aggressive name, this forced-induction V6 will be tuned to produce 350 horsepower.
I wanted a 1990 Taurus SHO so bad back then...but it will never work for me today. The problem is around here I don't know anyone who buys Fords cars. My neighbors and I buy SUV's and trucks, even though gas will one day break us, and those who do buy cars buy Honda Accord and Civic, Toyota Camry and Corola and thats about it. Except for granny in her Crown Vic. Maybe its different elsewhere, but I haven't considered a Ford "car" in about 14 years. Except my Mustang of course.
