I love it! Very sweet elegant lines. I do see a bit of Suzuki Forenza in the taillights. and Lexus GS in the profile. Which are not bad cars to draw cues from... lol very nice I think Lincoln is on the right track! I love the Grille too.
Lexus' 306 HP comes on super-duper premium. On the stuff you're likely to get at the pump you're looking at anywhere from 250-275. As for the Linc, 272 is better than the base 5-series engine. And the TT plant will have more HP than any 5-series save the M. Also beats the non-AMG E-class models, which start at $13K more. Sounds like they're well positioned in the market.
I think the Exterior looks really good, I'm quite pleased. Quite handsome, and it shows positive movement away from the "hang a new nose/tail on a Ford" mentality to unique sheetmetal.
I really like the interior, looks much better than I was expecting and has great brand identity. And look: no analog clock or bank of 500 gray buttons you have to decipher!

I'm hoping base engien becomes DI when the DI-TT hits the streets or shortly therafter. That would give the base around 300hp and the TT 400, pretty nice!
I'd rather they get the powertrains right rather than release them too early, or delay the whole car. These new mills Ford is cooking up aren't just upgrades, they're using completely new to the Oval technology like DI and TT, on brand new base architecture as well. I'm not surprised its taking some time to work out.
BTW: The buzz on BON is that the MKS front end had to be beefed up becuase the DI TT V6 was putting out so much torque it was overlaoding the car. I can think of worse problems to have.

Quite nice, not a knockout or anything, but definitely quite nice. I guess a real question is how well they develop it from here on. Sport version? AWD? TT3.5? There's definitely the potential to take this car from very nice to very hot if Ford would actually come through with its "Bold Moves" blather.

270 HP is a dissapointment, even on 87 octane. The 3.7 should have DI both for better HP and better MPG.
Supposedly in a year the MKS will get the 350 HP twin force V6.
When my 2006 LS is ready for replacement I'll consider the MKS, but I'll have to consider several other cars too. I suspect the MKS will not have the sporting characteristics of the LS or Caddy CTS.
