best mph i got was 108.98 but the 1/4 was only 14.101. i just could not find a good rpm to get off the line clean. best run was at 2000 and the best 60 ft time was the 2.39 : )

will post pics when i finish my new computer. dont have access to any right now. mods are longtubes, off road h-pipe, side exhaust c&l intake tube & mass air meter CAI, U/D pullies, full tubular suspension & k member. need some sticky tires BAD! got some 430 gears, getting TB and gonna tune it sometime this summer. had cars with traction running 12.6's at the same MPH as mine but with MUCH better 60' times. my sister ran her STI and got a 13.9 at 94 the 60' time was a 1.8! that alone would put me in the 12's. i was running cobra r's w/ 275/40 all around. the car is set up for auto x' not drag racing.

Went to the track again. made it to the 5th round in bracket eliminations. mostly by luck. but that was fun. then made 8 back to back runs before my clutch got hot and was not engaging all the way.
here's my best time. though my MPH is way off, my sct tune backed itself out??? my rev limiter is back to factory 6950 not 7250 it was bumped up to and was really soft on the top end.

lost over 4.5 mph on the top end though my 60 ft made up for that some. i ran the 13.2 then a 13.3 three 13.4 two 13.6 a 14.4(tried to launch at 5k on street tires HAHA) and a 13.9 and called it quits.

You have the mph for solid 12s. Get your traction issues addressed and you will be there with no problems.

 

have 4.30 gears and 31 spline axles gonna go in when i get some time to get them done. then its time for slicks!

Im looking and yes I want another 96-98 4v.. the thing is, it'll be setup for open track not drag strip this time.

 

I want a 96-98 4v... but my wife will divorce me if i do it since i just got my new focus.

 

i think thats what kills my traction off the line the most. my suspension is set up for open track. even with my struts on full soft it doesnt seem like it transfers much weight! i just couldnt turn this car down. it had 32,000 miles on it

 

Something you can try just for the track, disconnect the front sway bar. It eliminates that linkage keeping the front end from lifting as much.

 

yeah i wanted to try that. but everytime i have been to the track it was some guys calling at like 6pm. hey we are going to the track want to come? i just jump in the car and go.
