Which is best... pred, hypertech, etc...

what does most people have and what is the most user friendly?

 

Whats done to your car? Is it blown? What are you going to do with the software? Is it going to stay NA? ??? All that goes into deciding which tuning software to use.

 

I'll be redoing the entire exhaust system, I want to run on 93 octane, make it change gears higher in the rpm range, have more air/fuel ratio, and a few other things...

not blown, i wanna stay n/a as long as posible, or until I decide I wanna blow 5k to have my car be blown...

 

I use the Diablosport Predator, love it. Easy to use, easy to read, etc. Tuned for 93 Octane, adjusted air/fuel ratio, etc. The only mods on my 2002 GT are Magnaflow cat-back exhaust and a K&N FIPK cold air kit (and Eibach pro springs).

 

Talk to Doug at Bamachips. He's tuned quite a few 99+ N/A cars and gotten great gains.

Only problem, I can't drive to AL for him to do it, I'd need to buy the stuff and do it myself... *cry* Can he drive to Baton Rouge, LA though?

 

Maybe I'm wrong.....but I think the way it works is.....you add all your bolt-ons....send that list to Doug at Bamachips he does a custom burn with the mods you listed....and BOOM you hook up and your done.

There are several companies that do through the mail tunes. I might be going out on a limb here, but I would guess it would be "best" to do your "minor" mods then do the tune. I know a car can be tuned at any stage...but imo the tune should be done after bolt-ons....because it eliminates variables(brands of mods) that can't be anticipated.
