Hey guys,
The brakes on my '04 GT squeak REALLY bad and I when I went to get them checked, I was told the brake pads were still at about 45%, and to stop the squeaking, I would have to replace the whole brake system... What can I do as a cheaper alternative to stop the squeaking?

Have you tried bleeding the brakes?

Its most likely that you have some less expensive brake pads on there. I wouldn't go back to that place that you went to either. They were trying to rob you blind. You can swap out the pads for not to much cash

and of course I am sure a vendor or two here at tms could help you out on the price also.

No I haven't tried bleeding them but that's a good idea, and thanks a lot Glenn I will look into some better brake pads... I don't think the ones on it now are very good quality so that might work.
