Angry sluggish performance

My five O is not feeling well. When I stomp on the gas it won't smoke the hides I already advanced the ignition timing a bit but no mayor improvement. My dad told me that it's time for a timing chain replacement. I also believe this, since this car was bone stock when i got it. It also making some weird noises in the front of the engine, but it could be the smog pump operating. Any ideas?
I've already replaced the Oxigen sensors, cap, rotor, wires, spark plugs and coil, and put a cheap cold air intake.

are you able to check if all the plug wires are firing, I don't know alot as well can you tell if the wierd noise is like how a water pump sounds on it last leg or if behind the fan like timing chin/belt ?

I don't think it's a spark wire issue, since the motor runs very smooth.

The sound is like a light rod knock, but not exactly the same.

My II was feeling sluggish until I tuned the carb a little. But you have EFI, one would think that the EFI isn't going to detune itself over time

Other things that I dont think you mentioned: air filter, and other general maintentnce. Maybe clogged cats if you have enough miles on the car. Might want to check the timing like your dad said, the combination of tuning the carb and adjusting the timing gave the II a whole new life

1st off, I do not know anything about cars! Have you check your mass air meter. Mine ran pretty bad about 3 years ago. I did a full tune-up, did nothing. I replaced the MAF, it fixed it all! Just guessing here though.

I can't smoke my new tires either. Despite countless trials. Dang BFGoodrich G-Force Sports have too much stick.

??? But you've got a manual trans! how come you can't smoke em? Maybe you've got a worn pressure plate. Time for an ACT

btw, the stupid car smoked the tires last Sunday, when I was going to my friend's house to help him with his 90 GT! It's running fine now. ??? Maybe it was bad gas or something, wtf?
