Saleen tonnea cover

Saleen tonnea cover
Recently i bought the one piece SALEEN tonneau cover for my 03 gt vert (Saleen clone) the brackets on the cover won't seem to slip under the metal thing that wraps around the bottom of the convertible top(not sure what it's called but it's the piece that's usually black and separates the car from the top) Anyone else ran into this problem?

I have the piece for my 96 cobra (saleen clone) and its a rough fit but it hold. It takes two people to fit mine on but it isn't too bad. Do you have a light bar or styling bar?

Yes I have a CDC lightbar.. The square plates on the back of the cover don't look like they will slide under the lip .. Almost like they should be lower.. I've tried puttin it on w two ppl I just don't see it working.. Those will fit any car from 94 04 won't they?? And does yours have any brackets to mount on car or does it just slide in and hook up to the seat belt?

Alright I'll make sure to watch out for that. Do you mind taking a picture of your corners? I hate to ask but I would really appreciate it.. Maybe shaving down my corners will fix my prob so it'll line up right

Thanks bro mine doesn't have the spacer between the cover and the bracket so I guess that's what's causing it not to work..my bracket sits almost with the cover. Hmmm that's weird considering mine is not aftermarket, it's a true Saleen part so If I had to guess I would have imagined that it at some point was on a Saleen.. Oh well im gonna take off my brackets and put some washers or something behind it and see how that turns out.. Thanks

I'm sure mine is not a real saleen. I bought the car with the body kit already on it. It did have all the saleen stickers everywhere by I got those removed cause the cops thought it was weird that a 16 year old was driving a saleen
