Question Replacing some liecence plate bulbs

I started off by removing the cover for the lights on the outside of the car. And the whole socket and wire came out with it. The cover was on tightly. I wasn't sure if you take the cover off to change the bulb. I heard someone say take them out through the top. But I tried to get them off from inside the trunk and my hand is just too big to fit.
So a nice little guide would be nice for me to go by.
Oh. I drive a 94 stang

The bulb and socket twist out of the housing.

So you do it from the exterior of the car?

Been a while since ive done it actually. But if I recall correctly there are screws holding the housing in. So you should get it from the outside

When I did it I pulled the housing down so the wiring/housing were hanging from the trunk, then I just twisted the bulb and pulled it out. I replaced it with LED's and they look a lot cooler than the stock halogen (or whatever) bulbs that have the warmer glow to them.
