It must be the lighting, mine is 100% correct color paint, except it is clearcoated unlike the original. and mine was taken on a cloudy day so maybe i have just forgotten what mine looked like in the sunshine.

If I'd had about $3500 a few years back, I'd be driving a '66 Coupe, with a Hi-po 289, Red coupe with a black vinyl top, and black lemans stripes

Your paint is definitely different Chris. He wants to go back to that color though

I have a lead on a new fender for just over a hundred bucks. Hopefully going to pick up that later today, but right now I'm planning on uninstalling the other side pipe as well as checking all the other rubber hangers and the transmission mount. When all of that is done my car should be fairly "done" for a while. I also want to check out the rear end sometime, but I don't know if that is going to be done today, or if I'm going to be lazy and push it off again.

Good find on the fender. Mine cost me $130.
Check those mounts so they don't break any more shet.

Found two more of those rubber mounts that are breaking. Transmission mount looked fine, but my transmission still shakes when I let off the gas when I'm going more than around 55.

Now's a good time for a rear seat delete Pete. Save's weight and no more Arin stains.

Pete just called me to say he got pulled over because the police thought he had "illegal modifications" to his vehicle

WTF!!!

just because Pete's got some flashy Mach 1 style paint all over his car, and because its now shiny (we washed, polished, waxed it sunday) they assume he has illegal mods

and wtf is wrong with mods in the first place?! its PERFECTLY LEGAL to mod your car. they made him point out the EGR and smog pump and other bits to them on the side of the road. They also said "you're lucky we couldnt find anything wrong. next time we'll impound your car so we can inspect it ourselves."

This is just like that BULLcrap from a few months ago elsewhere in ca where a bunch of cars at a CAR SHOW were impounded for being "illegally modified"

I have the utmost respect for most police officers. But these guys are just a sack of douchebags

That is totally bush league. Makes me proud to live in a state like Alabama. Don't even have to worry about pollution testing here.

I like most of California, but when it comes to cars and guns, it pisses me the heck off
