Need some advice

I am in the process of looking for a Mustang (won`t be pulling the trigger until March for insurance reasons; ALOT CHEAPER then). I am currently looking at the 1994-2004 model years. More the 1996-1998 Cobra, anything I should be on the lookout for during these years? I have also heard that I need to look at the Mach 1`s and Bullit`s. Open to any advice I can get.

Thanks in advance,
Mathew

Looks like your liking my years I currently own a 97 cobra. One things that you will need done to any cobra in those years is the head cooling mod. Keep in mind the cobra tends to be a weekend car only. So when you see a cobra with 100,000 miles on it, keep in mind that its usually 100,000 hard race miles. That being said my engine needed to be replaced at 131000 miles. Still a great car. I will not sell her.

Mine will be a toy as well, have an F150 as a daily driver. I have found a couple that have less than 60,000 miles on them and are around 10,000-12,000.000.

Bought my 01 bullitt with 68k on the odo for 8k its been an awesome car. Definitely a looker. Not a car you want if your looking to do appearance mods tho. Wont ever sell it. Buying an 06 with 14k on the odo this week and parking the bullitt with 80k problem free miles

Mach 1's were only made in '03-'04 as special editions. They have the 4v Cobra engine in them as well as many other unique features. Because of all this they are holding thier value and are going to cost alot more to get one in decent condition.

As with the cobra and most other special edition mustangs. Well except maybe 40th anniversary editions

I'm a huge fan of the Mach...and I see quite a few low mileage units...weekend drivers, under 20,000 miles that come up for sale for $16,000 or $17,000
