Exclamation Need help finding a part, please!

I am trying to help a friend find a hood insulator for their 96 cobra. It has the stock hood.
Please let me know where she can find one.

Thank you for your help...

I'm going to go out on a limb and say call the dealer. If they don't have it no one else will. If you are set on getting a stock one look for parting out Cobras. They pop up every once in a while. I'd post a wanted ad on corral.

I've been looking since about Jan of '09. Not all the time looking, just when I thought of it. They don't make these anymore! My cousin runs an auto body collision @ a Vo-Tech school. I had him see if he could get one. Nope! Just have to find one on eBay, Craigslist, or a junkyard. I'm just running w/o one on my hood. Hope you have better luck than I do, when I search!

Looks like these guys are tring to come up with one. I did a dealer locate and no dealer in the system has one on the shelf. OEM part number was f6zz16738ba. It's not going to hurt anything to run without it. It is for sound dampening only.

Try eBay they have universal pads that you cut to fit and make holes for the pins.

That 50resto message has been on there since I started looking. Plus, not for that Cobra hood.

I would also suggest getting some sound damping material, dynomat comes to mind, and just line the hood with that. Are you trying to find it for cosmetic purposes, or really just to dampen sounds?
