Arrow Mustang GT 5-Speed: Best RPM to shift for trans longevity?

I recently bought an '01 Mustang GT that has been meticulously maintained. One thing I remember the previous owner telling me was to make sure to shift at, at least 3,000-3,500 RPMs as this is the best for the TR3650? He stated that shifting under 3K is not good for the trans. Can anyone chime in on this and let me know if there is any truth to this? TIA!

I don't understand why the transmission would care as long as you aren't grinding the gears.

Something about letting the gears spin high enough to let the synchros mesh correctly? I don't know to be honest why he would tell me that, but I just wanted to ask and be safe as I read that the TR3650's can become notchy..

Seem to pretty high of RPMs just driving normally. I usually shift between 2 and 3K usually 2500 and I've had no issues and coming up on 155K miles
