After driving a 05 Mustang and going back to my car, I noticed how high my seats are!

Is there any way of lowering the seats further on the SN95?

I dont believe so unless you fabricate new brackets.

I've seen "How To's" on other websites to push the seat back further for more leg room but it would seem that if you replaced the electric seats with a slider you might gain some more head room.

I think the whole fox body model is lower than the SN95. I've heard that 94-04 mustangs are notorious for their "4x4" stock ride height. Andre, you may just want to look into lowering springs, like maybe 7/8" or 1" so the whole thing is a little lower and you can still see over the hood. just my 2 cents

Umm dude, if he lowers the whole car, the seats are gonna lower just as much as the rest of the car, so it isnt going to do anything for chaging how high up the seat sits inside the car.

Thanks for your suggestions, my mustang is already lowered, it's just that I would prefer a lower seating position inside the car, like the 05 stang, I'm surprised they haven't come up with some kind of a kit for that...

I believe what you are referring to is the difference in "cowl height" between the SN-95's and the S197. If I understand correctly, that's the height of the area at the base of the windshield, or the cowl, above the ground. Ever been in a Honda or Toyota? Usually you can look *down* on the hood from driver or passenger seat. The SN-95's are sort of like that, they have a lower cowl height, and you can see more of the hood while sitting in the car.

I noticed exactly what you were describing a couple weeks ago when I was test driving an '05 GT convertible. The top of the dash and hood are much higher than the '03 GT I have, which would take me some getting used to...it's different but not something that would really bother me. I rather like the driving position in the SN-95's, but it seems since it was designed into the car there may not be much you can do about it.
