Well some idiot GMC driver just ran me off the road into a ditch. My front bumper has a two inch crack below the drivers side fog light. I think I came out lucky. :bang: How much do you think that it will cost to have it fixed? Im so mad I havent had this car a week. :bang:

You really have to take it to a body shop to get a cost estimate. I don't know if a crack in the bumper can be repaired or if you need a whole new bumper. It will probably have to be repainted too.

Well Ive been checking everything else out and the bumper is now the least of my worrys. My radiator support is bent back about 2 inches on the drivers side. I feel sick.

His insurance should pay for it all if he ran you off the road. What happened?

Well I was going down the road minding my own business and doing the speed limit when I see him coming straight at me. He didnt get out of my way so I did the only thing that I could do. So I went into the ditch wich is about 3-4 feet deep at about 20mph. He never stopped and by the time I got out of my car he was nowhere to be found. Thats why I can't get his insurance to pay for it.

Im just gonna pay for it without going to the insurance company. My insurance is high enough as it is right now. Ive only been driving for about two months.

Its just been one of those days. :bang:

Sorry to hear about that. Let us know how it goes.

Not sure the bumper can be repaired, but we'll hope there's not much damage since your paying for it.

I just got my estimate. Its gonna be $266 to repair my front bumper and to repaint my passengerside side scoop there the paint wasnt sticking. Its less then I expected but I guess im not gonna be getting my new wheels as soon as I had hoped.

Thay said that it wasn't anything too bad. They said that it wasn't hurting anything and it is really minor. I got off lucky. It still makes me sick that I've only had this car a week.

Yeah, but maybe you got all the bad karma out already, so it won't be so bad now.

when i first got my baby, it felt like everyone was out to wreck her...

In 1 week, I avoided 3 head ons, 2 side swipes, and one dumb hiney old lady who ran a stop sign...

Now, I just drive too fast for any uneducated bum to keep up with me! j/k But when you first get a car it's like you have a light up sign that says "Hit Me If You Can!"

It really is.

I think that this might turn out to be a good thing in the long run though. My dad gave me the green light to buy a GT hood scoop, GT side scoops, and a Mach 1 chin spoiler. He said since the car is goin to the body shop; I might as well buy the parts that I wanted that need to be painted and get it all done at once.

Now I just have to save up all the money.

you should get the Shaker Hood Scoop.

I'm thinking about getting it on my 2000 GT. Just the thought of a functional hood scoop makes me wet my jammies!

But you should see about getting that, CDC offers it for 99+ models... but I'm not sure how it'd look on a 99-00 since the hoods are slightly different from the rest of the SN95 models.

Ive thought about a shaker but they are too expensive for me. I dont plan to do too many mods to this car. If everything goes as planned my father and I plan to get an 03-04 Cobra in the near future.

I plan on keeping the 6-cylinder for my daily driver. People at my school dont like it when you get a nice car. Mine has already had a slushy poured on it and silly string put on all the windows. I now park right infront of 2 cameras.

Id hate to see what they would do to a Cobra.
