Smile Hood Struts vs Rod for SN95

I am considering replacing the hood rod on my 2000 GT w/ a hood strut kit. MMD makes a no drill bolt on with brackets, black or chrome kit, Red Line Tuning makes a black or polished Stainless steel kit w/ drill/revit/bolt kit. Has anybody had any experience with either?

I've had experience with both and I think you'll really like them! I have the MMD Hood Struts on my 2011 GT now and absolutely love them. Very sleek look and adds a good element to the engine bay! Also great to not have a big ugly hood prop anymore..

Hope this helps! Let us know if we can be of any assistance.

I put Redline struts on my '14......most useful mod so far and the best $80 I've spent so far with the exception of a couple of tanks of gas!!!

Can't remember which one I purchased for my old sn95, but I did get it from AM and it worked great, so much nicer than the stupid rod. :-)
