Help needed making up my mind
Ok here's the deal. I have a 95 gt 5 speed that I want to make a real healthy street car 425475 rwhp. Something that I can drive everyday and run high 11's low 12's not overly done where you have to buy race gas and not practical.
Option 1. 306 with a turbo or supercharger
Option 2 Stroker motor with the factory 302
Option 3 351w swap (but I know that would leave me to wanting more than what is needed)
I don't want to spend 10-15 grand on the motor. That would be a great down payment on a '14 gt
What are your thoughts and the setups that your using with hp numbers and times if you have them?

read his post, he doesn't want to spend that kind of money.
I'd probably go with the turbo setup, you'll still get reasonable gas mileage, and you can turn up the wick when you go to the track.

Yeah but that's 40 grand I don't want to spend right now. Im trying to avoid payments. Wife and I are buying a house and moving south in June It would be a couple years on a new car. Plus we got to get her out of her cavalier first
Maybe I should just try mid 12s

He said he didn't want to spend money on the motor than said it would be a good down payment on a 2014 so I'm lost what you meant by that. But turbo is good.

he meant that if he was going to spend that kind of money, he'd just get a new car, but since he's not, he doesn't want to spend that much i.e. not spending a fortune on a motor setup

Right.. I know I'm going to spend 10-15 grand but I want that to include everything. Engine, trans, rear, suspension and brakes If its going to be in the 25-30 range, I'd just buy a new car
What I wanna do is run with, or better yet. Out run a new (semi stock) mustang for a third of the cost

You can run 12s with a good H/C/I combo on a 302. That's what I would do. For about 5k or so, you could have a very good street setup. Add in a good working suspension and tires will get you easily into the 12s. No need to go turbo route unless you really want to.
Going 306 doesn't give you much in the hp department, just overbores the cylinders. 12s are possible on a stock bottom end and what's listed above.
